My Story

Steve started playing Dungeons and Dragons in the early 1980's.  He played with David Carpenter and Chris Colvin, but he also played with Brian Kuss, and David Neuman as well.  He also learned to play an RPG game called Car Wars by Steve Jackson Games.  Steve was always into Comic books so he would also partake in playing an RPG game called Champions.   Champions was an RPG game where you become a Super Hero, like Marvel and DC Comics etc...  Brian Fender used to be the game master for Champions.

After the High School and College years (early 1990's), Steve and his family moved to Florida.  During this 30 year time frame, he kept in touch with his buddies in Ohio but the visits were pretty limited and life was flying by.

In 2023, Steven Patterson (Ken-Chan) and David Carpenter reconnected in conversion.  Dave invited Steve to attend UrbanaCon in June of 2023.  As of Feb 2026, Steve has now attended 4 Urbana-Cons and 1 Gencon.  We are glad to have him as part of the UrbanaCon family.
